The Guardian asked readers and followers of its social media accounts who are based in India to recommend the online voices they follow. Who are the bloggers, tweeters or Facebook users that provide an alternative view of events in India and the election?
In a series of posts from a selection of those nominated, it started a series today. First up, they cover yours truly, Politicalbaaba (www.politicalbaaba.com). I take this opportunity to thank my readers & followers for their support and encouragement.
My sincere thanks also to Laura Oliver (Twitter Account @LauraOliver), Social and community editor, UK, the Guardian, for providing me with the opportunity to express my views.

I have been delighted to reblog your articles. I am so glad it has gotten you deserved readers. Please continue to point out articles I might be interested in especially during these exciting time. I do have a question….How are the ballots safe during all this 7 weeks or so until the counting on May 16? How can they all be counted on one day? Maybe that information would make an interesting post. But maybe the Indians know that already. . . . . smiles. . .

Thanks Anne. Ballots from all constituencies in a state are brought to the capital of respective state and manned under heavy security. We use EVMs so all EVMs give the total per candidate. They have a button with the formula for total. So all totals of all EVMs of a constituency are aggregated to get the final result.
