With the insecurity of losing MLAs, Congress is taking bizarre measures. No point blaming others for Cong’s own weakness and indiscipline.

3. Assembly elections 2016: Celebs line up to join Kerala poll race

n an unprecedented move, Kerala assembly elections may witness more celebrities in the poll fray. Actors and sports personalities are being considered by all three fronts. Cricketer Sreesanth is likely to be a BJP candidate.

4. Tamil Nadu Assembly elections: DMDK strikes alliance with PWF

It will be a split verdict with no absolute majority for Karuna or Captain or Jayalalithaa and Captain will end up being the kingmaker. Since it is multi corner fight, margin of victory will be low, candidate selection will be key and Jaya looks sick can’t do much rallies will be negative for Aiadmk. Or if he loses big time, Jaya will be CM again.

5. India to grow at 7.2% in 2016-17: BMI Research

Contrary to the BMI Research view, last month the Economic Survey tabled in Parliament had termed external environment as challenging.
However, the Survey had projected a 7-7.5 per cent GDP growth rate in the next fiscal which could accelerate to eight per cent in a couple of years. Steady growth will always benefit India, no matter what rate it might be, unlike China.
