Haryana

Haryana, a North Indian state sends 10 MPs to Lok Sabha (2%). Congress has been sweeping the state for the past two Lok Sabha elections. Hooda has been the CM since 2005, leading Congress to victory in 2009 state polls.  Chautala’s Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and late Bansi Lal’s Harayana Vikas Congress are prominent regional parties. Chautala and his sons have been convicted in a scam related to appointment of teachers. This has hit their credibility. HVC after Bansi Lal’s death has been merged with Congress. INLD was part of NDA earlier.
