Karnataka, a Southern state, sends 28 MPs to Lok Sabha (5%) and an important state for next govt. formation. This is the only south India state where BJP has had a strong presence. It ruled the state for 10 years with Yedurappa, lost the recent state elections due to corruption allegations. Yedurappa left BJP after he was forced to exit and formed his own party KJP.
