Rajasthan sends 25 MPs to Lok Sabha (5%). The electorate exhibits similar characteristics as Tamil Nadu. Since 1985, in every alternate state election, it has given chance to Congress and BJP to form state govts. In national elections too, the electorate follows the state election trend. In line with the trend BJP formed the state govt. in recently held elections by thumping majority under Vasundhara Raje.
